Yatta Zoe, born Victoria Snetter in Bomi County in 1942 and known affectionately as Ma Yatta, is a Liberian folk singer, percussionist and dancer, dubbed the Queen of Liberian Folk.
Her hits include You Took My Lappa, All the Pocket Pickers (Have Gone to Bella Yalla), Young Girls Stop Drinking Lysol, Don't Lie, Mano River Union and Tolbert Yesi. She represented Liberia at the 1966 World Festival of Black Arts in Dakar and at FESTAC in Lagos in 1977, and toured Africa, Europe and North America, where she came to know Fela Kuti and Miriam Makeba.
